Matthias Trummer advises his clients on corporate, commercial, compliance and contract  law matters. He also regularly represents creditors and debtors in restructurings, reorganizations, refinancings and insolvency proceedings. His longstanding experience covers a wide range of industries, in particular manufacturing, trade, healthcare, technology and digital businesses. 

Prior to founding VALFORD Attorneys, Matthias Trummer worked as an attorney at PwC Legal and led its M&A practice group. He is an author of academic papers on corporate and insolvency law as well as legal tech and legal innovation topics. In 2014, he was among the youngest lawyers in Austria and was awarded the Austrian Bankers’ Association Prize (formerly Walther-Kastner-Prize) for his dissertation written at the chair of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Andreas Konecny at the University of Vienna in insolvency law.

In addition to his legal education, he also holds an Executive Master's degree in Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurial Leadership from the renowned Grande école ESCP Business School. He is also entrepreneurial in the digital transformation industry.
